About

Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital: Foundation is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 69 Barre Street in Charleston, South Carolina. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital: Foundation. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital: Foundation.

If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital: Foundation, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged 18+, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.

The staff members at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital: Foundation have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital: Foundation. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.

Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital: Foundation can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

A family member had an issue requiring a visit to the emergency room. We drove from Summerville. My family member was promptly seen. Eugene was wonderful and put her at ease. Jenn, her nurse, was caring. Her physician, Dr. Jennings, took time to answer our questions and explained the treatment she received. No one enjoys having to visit an ER. However, if the circumstances in life require you do so, Roper is the best.

This is the first emergency room to get my diagnosis right after weeks of going to other doctors. I had a great doctor who took all of my concerns seriously.

This is one of the greatest hospitals. My mother was in here from 6/22 -6/24 due to her blood sugar dropping into the 40s due to the medication her PCP gave her.. with all the worry and stress going on, the staff was making sure not only my mother was alright, but I was as well. The nurses went out of thier way to make sure my mother was comfortable and monitored closely and constantly. It put me at ease. The doctors explained everything to my sister and I so we could understand. They even let our family know what was going on and what was going to happen and the treatments they were doing and what was wrong. They even at discharge time gave me a packet of stuff with information on proper dietary and things to do if her blood sugar ever dropped like that again! Our nurse at discharge was Amazing and talking with us as we left! The cleanliness of the staff was up to uniform as well! They even checked in with us for the next week after she had gotten home!

I just had a Heart Ablation for Atrial Flutter from Dr. Frain at Roper. I could not have been more pleased with every aspect of the Doctor, the Roper staff, the facilities cleanliness and the promptness of care. THANK YOU!!!! Best medical facility in Charleston by far!

I was admitted to the ER because I couldn't keep anything in from "both ends". Then, I developed a fever of 103. While the first room I was in took a while, the nurses made sure I was kept warm and comfortable. When asked if I wanted morphine for the pain, I requested to not have any because I suffer from horrible anxiety. The nurse was completely understanding and even broke down each medication she gave me after that, as well as telling me to let her know if I feel even the slightest bit of anxiety so she can check back. When I was admitted to my room for the next couple of nights, everyone was incredibly kind-down to the people who came to clean the room and give me food. I have never experienced such a caring staff. The physician I saw was polite, but very quick to get in and out. However, I understand that it's a hospital and he has a lot of patients to see. I was nervous when he said I could go home that day, because I still felt awful but he was correct. The nurses told me to take my time and helped me get dressed and another nice man wheeled me to my ride and helped me get in. Thank you all for everything that you do!

My 93yo great aunt went to Roper St Francis ER in West Ashley and we had a wonderful experience. The nurses were absolutely amazing, one in particular- a male nurse, I think his name was Adam. They treated my aunt with such care and compassion. She ended up staying overnight for observation and while the discharge process was long we were all very pleased with her care. God bless you all!

My wife has TBI with Hemispatial Neglect and she is getting incredible therapy at Roper. PT has her out of the wheelchair to the rollator to walking to therapy from the parking lot. She's walking well around the house! OT and ST are getting similar results. We just got back from five months at The Shepherd Center and Roper is the logical next step. I can't speak to billing issues, but care for my wife is spectator!

Best care I have ever received at a ER! The whole staff between the front desk, nurses, doctors, and lab techs were so amazing and actually cared. They were fast and thorough. I never had to wait or question any part of my visit. I had went to the Trident ER on Monday prior to tonight's visit and was there for hours, never saw a dr, was diagnosed incorrectly, and left still in pain. After getting worse since that visit, my mother in law suggested Roper and I'm glad she did. I feel so much better already and they got me on the right treatment plan to get to feeling better! I would suggest this hospital to anyone! Great experience all around!

Dr. Danuta Kassur was great! I have been looking for a doctor who is thorough, answers your questions, takes the time to understand your health, and has a great personality. These are important to me when I consider a doctor, and I have to look no more.
